Onapa Company Officials To Stand Trial

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Attorney General Drew Edmondson says officials of an Onapa construction company are facing trial on accusations of conspiring to use prohibited material in state highway projects.

McIntosh County Judge Bill Layden has ordered George Paul Glover, Gary Wayne Carr and Jarod Neil Smith to stand trial.

The defendants were indicted in May by the state's multi-county grand jury on one count of conspiracy against the state.

Glover is the president and principal stockholder of Glover Construction.

The grand jury indictment accuses the three of conspiring to use stone and rock that had been found to be unsuitable for use in state highway projects.

The defendants are scheduled to be arraigned on September 13th.
