Two 17-year-old girls are hospitalized after a traffic accident in Tulsa.

A Tulsa Police officer saw the teenage driver of a red car speeding as she approached 71st and Mingo. He managed to get out of the way in time. But the driver of a Grand Prix was hit. The force of the collision knocked him towards the officer's car, but they missed.

The two girls in the red car were knocked unconscious. Authorities believe they had been drinking.

They were hospitalized as a precaution. There were no serious injuries.
