Updated:
NORMAN, Okla. (AP) Oklahoma rises 1 spot to number 16 this week in the AP college football poll after the Sooners' 59-0 rout of Middle Tennessee.

Ohio State is still #1 with 59 of a possible 65 first place votes. Auburn, Southern California, West Virginia and Florida round out the top 5.

Other ranked Big 12 Conference teams are #7 Texas, # 21 Nebraska and # 25 Missouri, which is one of three new teams in this week's poll. OU's next game will be against Texas in 13 days.

Oregon, which was idle on Saturday after its controversial win over Oklahoma a week earlier, dropped 1 spot to # 14.
