A convicted sex offender is in the Tulsa County jail and it's a case police say could serve as a warning to parents.
Tulsa Police say 36 year-old Domaros Abbott knew the victim and was friends with the family. Abbot moved to Tulsa about a year ago from Utah. He faces one count of lewd molestation.
An 11 year-old girl told police Abbott showed her a pornographic movie, then touched her in a sexual way. The girl was spending the night with a teenage girl who lives with Abbott. Detectives say Abbott knew the girl he's accused of molesting. But officers say the girl's family didn't know Abbott was a convicted sex offender. Tulsa Police Cpl. Aaron Tallman: “I know for a fact, if the parents in this situation had any knowledge of this individual being an offender, I don't know if they would have had a relationship with him; much less let their child be in his presence."
Tulsa Police say Abbott was convicted of a sex crime in Utah in 1991. Abbott did register in Tulsa as a sex offender as the law requires.
