Texas, K-State players earn conference awards

DALLAS (AP) _ A Texas Longhorn and a Kansas State Wildcat are Big 12 players of the week after helping their teams to wins over Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.

Texas cornerback Aaron Ross is the defensive player of the week after getting two interceptions and returning a fumble for a touchdown in a 28-to-10 win over OU.

Kansas State kick returner Leon Patton is the special teams player of the week after returning a kickoff 95 yards for a touchdown in the Wildcats 31-to-27 come-from-behind win over OSU.

Texas A&M quarterback Stephen McGee is the offensive player of the week for leading the Aggies on two 80-yard scoring drives in the fourth quarter in a 21-to-18 comeback win over Kansas.
