NORMAN, Okla. (AP) Nate Carter scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to help Oklahoma pull away for a 74-69 victory over pesky Central Missouri.
Trailing by as much as six points, the Sooners went on an 11-4 run to take a seven-point lead with 11:53 remaining yesterday.
The Mules led 26-22 at halftime behind sloppy play from OU and a buzzer beating 3-pointer from Theo Jones. The Sooners had 12 first-half turnovers and both teams missed a combined 41 shots out of 57 attempts.
Jones led the Mules with 18 points, Zach Wright scored 16 and Alonzo Brooks added 10.
Thunderstorms knocked the power out at the Lloyd Noble Center with three-and-a-half second seconds left in the game.
OU guard Austin Johnson converted two free throws in the dimly lit arena to finish the game.
