Murder-Suicide Suspected In Choctaw Deaths

CHOCTAW, Okla. (AP) _ Choctaw Police Chief Billy Carter says it appears the shooting deaths of a family of three is a double-murder and a suicide.

The bodies of 40-year-old Robert Farmer, 38-year-old Paula Farmer and their 14-year-old daughter Kayla were found in their home yesterday by Robert Farmer's father _ William Farmer

Carter says a gun was found near Robert Farmer's body.

Police say William Farmer had gone to the home to check on why his son hadn't shown up for work at Remington Park in Oklahoma City. Farmer found the bodies of Paula and Kayla Farmer and called police who discovered the body of Robert Farmer.

Carter says there had never been trouble at the house in the past but Paula Farmer recently indicated she wanted to leave her husband.
