Kiowa Police Say Suspected Stalker Is AWOL Soldier

KIOWA, Okla. (AP) -- Kiowa Police say a man they arrested for stalking is wanted by the military for being Absent Without Leave.

Police Chief Steve Pebworth says Terry Daniels is being held in the Pittsburg County Jail until military officials from Fort Sill pick him up.

Pebworth says Daniels was arrested after two kids went to the police station and complained of a man following and stalking them.

The victims described a car the man was driving and police found it parked at a mobile home and Daniels was found inside the home.
