Bowl game means bonus for OSU coach

Updated:
STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) _ The Independence Bowl will mean a nice Christmas bonus for Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy.

Gundy's contract calls for a bonus of up to one month's salary when the Cowboys appear in any bowl outside of the Bowl Championship Series.

Gundy's salary is $250,000 and one month's pay from that would be $20,833. Gundy is paid another $550,000 for ``talent and personal services.''

Athletic director Mike Holder says the exact amount of Gundy's bonus hasn't been determined.

OSU plays Alabama in the Independence Bowl in Shreveport on December 28th.
