Tulsa honored its heroes Thursday night. Dozens of Tulsa Police officers received awards for amazing acts of courage that went far above and beyond their duty. The awards banquet was put on by the Citizens Crime Commission and honored officers who saved lives, stopped criminals and protected innocent citizens.

An award to any member of the Tulsa Police Department for sustaining the life of any human being through the practice of first aid, either on or off duty, except those persons employed as medics or ambulance attendants, and where substantiated by a medical doctor that without aid, a loss of human life would have occurred. This award may also be made to any officer who, through outstanding or appropriate actions, saves the life of another officer or citizen.Click here
