Authorities Catch 28 Men In Online Sex Sting

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) _ A weeklong sting operation led to the arrests of 28 men, three who claimed to be Disney employees, on charges of soliciting sex from a minor, authorities said.

``The suspects chatted online with (people) whom they believed to be boys and girls, ages 13 and 14,'' Polk County Sheriff's spokeswoman Donna Wood.

She said a number of agencies worked together to set up the sting at a Polk County home, where the suspects were arrested through Sunday.

Three of the arrested men told authorities they were employees of Disney, which operates theme parks in the area, according to the sheriff's report. All three were charged with soliciting a minor via the Internet and attempted lewd battery. One also was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

``We take allegations of this nature seriously,'' Disney spokeswoman Zoraya Suarez said in an e-mail. ``When we receive confirmation of these allegations, we will take appropriate action.''
