TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- Former Oklahoma State basketball coach Eddie Sutton will be honored next week as the Tulsa Sports Commission's Sportsman of the Year. Sutton won 798 games in his 36 seasons at Creighton, Kentucky, Arkansas and Oklahoma State. He retired last year after his 16th season at Oklahoma State, following a drunk driving crash.
Sutton's win total ranks fifth among men's Division One basketball coaches.
He will be honored April 23rd at the Renaissance Tulsa Hotel and Convention Center.
