Organization Gives Interfaith Tour Across Tulsa

The Oklahoma Conference for Community and Justice hosted an interfaith tour around Tulsa Sunday. It's a tour of various houses of worship to foster respect and understanding among different groups in the community. The OCCJ has been sponsoring the tours for 25 years now. They are usually targeted to students, but everyone is welcome to attend. The students toured a church, a temple, a synagogue and a mosque. Students were encouraged to view each building's architecture and hear a faith leader speak about the particular faith.

"It helps them value diversity by seeing the other has a lot in common with them,” said Hannibal Johnson of OCCJ. “There's a common thread that runs with all humanity that's really important."
