Updated:
STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) -- Kansas State pitcher Chase Bayuk scattered seven hits in 8 1/3 innings on Sunday as the Wildcats beat Oklahoma State 7-1, earning a split of a Big 12 Conference baseball doubleheader.

Oklahoma State won the opener 5-3 as Steve Ptak and Kendall Horner each had a pair of RBIs for the Cowboys.

Oklahoma State (26-9, 7-4 Big 12) broke a 2-2 tie in the first game on Ptak's run-scoring single in the sixth inning off Brad Hutt (6-2) and eventually built a 5-2 lead.

Kansas State rallied with a run in the ninth inning, but Oklahoma State reliever Justin Friend subdued the threat to earn his fifth save.

Josh Fritsche (1-0) pitched three innings of one-hit relief for the Cowboys to pick up the win.

Kansas State (23-12, 5-6) received a 4-for-6 effort from leadoff batter Adam Muenster in the second game.

The Wildcats used a three-run sixth inning to take a 5-1 lead, a rally keyed by RBI singles by Muenster, Derek Bunker and Drew Biery.

Bayuk (3-3) recorded the pitching win, while Oklahoma State starter Andrew Oliver (5-1) took the loss. The Cowboys used seven pitchers in the game.
