TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ The Tulsa women's golf team begins the quest for an 11th conference title Monday.
TU will compete against eight other schools for the Conference USA title at the par-72 Limestone Springs Golf Course in Birmingham, Alabama.
The Hurricane finished 3rd last year behind host East Carolina and 2nd-place Southern Methodist. SMU, Central Florida and Memphis appear to be the top teams entering the league event.
In 13 years as a member of a conference, the Hurricane have won ten women's league titles, either in the Missouri Valley Conference, the Western Athletic Conference or Conference USA.
Tulsa also has had nine individual medalists at a conference tournament, including current LPGA star Stacy Prammanasudh, who won WAC titles in 2001 and 2002.
The tournament will play 18 holes each day and concludes on Wednesday.
