ENID, Okla. (AP) -- The Garfield County district attorney's office has received findings from a county sheriff department's investigation into possible animal abuse.

Undersheriff Jerry Niles says that the department sent photos and videos taken at two pastures near the communities of Imo and Drummond. He says the state Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry has assisted with the investigation.

Search warrants were executed on the pastures on April 4th after reports of animal cruelty and neglect. Niles says authorities found 36 cattle carcasses in various stages of decay on the two properties.

He says the name of the cattle owner is not being released because charges have not been filed.
