Top Ranked LPGA player Commits To Tulsa LPGA Event

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. (AP) _ The top-ranked female golfer in the world says she'll play in the LPGA SemGroup Championship in Broken Arrow.

Tournament officials say Lorena Ochoa is committing to the tournament and other events April 30th through May 6th at Cedar Ridge Country Club in Broken Arrow.

Ochoa was named the LPGA Rolex Player of the Year last year and The Associated Press Female Athlete of the Year.

She became the top-ranked LPGA golfer in the women's golf rankings Monday.

Ochoa finished third in the tournament last year behind champion Cristie Kerr and Annika Sorenstam.

Kerr is scheduled to defend her title but Sorenstam is out with a back injury.
Oklahoma City forced tonight's game by winning Saturday at Colorado and a win tonight would send the series back to Colorado for a winner-take-all game seven on Wednesday.
