Man Shot By Off-Duty Police Officer

MIAMI, Okla. (AP) -- A Miami man is hospitalized in Joplin, Missouri, after being shot by an off-duty police officer in Miami. The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says Kanfori Kasiano was wounded and is expected to recover.

OSBI spokeswoman Jessica Brown says Kasiano was shot when off-duty Miami police officer Aaron Crockett and off-duty Commerce officer Matthew Crockett were attacked by several men.

Brown says the Crockett's are brothers and were attacked after complaining about loud music coming from a house near their home.

Brown declined to say which officer fired the shot that hit Kasiano.
