Geographical Rivalries Highlight The Interleague Slate

Updated:
UNDATED (AP) _ Major League Baseball's first round of interleague play gets underway with a matinee on the north side of Chicago. The Cubs will send out 3-2 Ted Lilly to face the crosstown-rival White Sox who counter with 2-1 Mark Buehrle.

In other interleague play: Florida is at Tampa Bay, Cleveland hosts Cincinnati, Atlanta plays at Boston, Detroit entertains St. Louis, Toronto is at Philadelphia, Baltimore visits Washington, the Yankees and Mets go at it in New York's Shea Stadium, Houston hosts Texas, Minnesota is at Milwaukee, Kansas City plays at Colorado, Seattle hosts San Diego, San Francisco is at Oakland and the Angels and LA Dodgers hook up in Anaheim.

As is the case with interleague play, there are two National League teams left out. This time it's the Pirates and Arizona Diamondbacks. They get together Friday night in Pittsburgh.
