Thieves who tried to break in to a Tulsa convenience store overnight got more than they bargained for. Tulsa Police say it happened at the Stop N Save at 16th and Memorial.

The store has been a frequent target for burglary suspects in the past. Tulsa Police say because of past attempts, the owner installed extra strong front doors, so when thieves tried to break in early Wednesday morning, they were unsuccessful.

Police say the thieves beat on the front door, but that did not work. Next, they shot at the door, putting five holes in the front door. That effort also proved unsuccessful.

Tulsa Police are still looking for the suspects.
