MACOMB, Ill. (AP) -- Jake Kahaulelio and Chad Rothford homered twice and Chance Chapman pitched seven shutout innings as Oral Roberts beat Centenary 20-0 Thursday in the Mid-Continent Conference tournament.
Brendan Duffy and Adam Younger also homered as the top-seeded Golden Eagles (38-15) racked up the most lopsided shutout victory in the tournament's history.
Kelly Minissale had four of Oral Roberts' 22 hits, while Rothford, Duffy, Younger and Carter McQuigg had three apiece. The Golden Eagles scored seven runs on four homers in the second inning, then added seven runs in the third inning and six more in
the seventh inning.
Oral Roberts will face either Valparaiso or Western Illinois in the second round. Centenary (26-30) falls into the consolation bracket.
Chapman (8-1) gave up six hits and struck out seven.
Centenary starter Brandon Fulenchek (8-5) gave up the Golden Eagles' first 11 runs in 2 1/3 innings.
