PLYMOUTH, Ind. (AP) -- Daniel Mitchell earns medalist honors as Oklahoma City University leads a 1,2,3 sweep of the NAIA men's golf tournament by Sooner Athletic Conference teams today at Indiana National Golf Club.

The national title was the sixth in men's golf by the Stars in the past seven years.

OCU also has won NAIA titles this school year in men's basketball, women's golf and softball. The school has won 32 national titles since joining the NAIA before the 1985-86 school year.

OCU finished at 2-over-par for the tournament, 18 shots better than second-place Wayland Baptist of Texas. Oklahoma Christian was third at 32-over.

Mitchell, a senior from Oklahoma City, finished 6-under 282 on the par-72 course, three shots ahead of Sam Cyr of Point Loma Nazarene of California, the only other golfer to finish under par.

Mitchell entered today four shots behind Cyr but had seven birdies while shooting a 67, while Cyr closed with a 74.
