Houston's Everett On DL, Breaks Leg In Collision With Lee

Updated:
HOUSTON (AP) -- Houston Astros shortstop Adam Everett broke his right leg in Thursday's collision with teammate Carlos Lee in a 6-5 loss to Oakland.

The Astros say Everett will be out four to eight weeks.

Houston late today put Everett on the 15-day disabled list and recalled infielder Eric Bruntlett from Triple-A Round Rock.

Everett -- in the fourth inning -- was backpedaling to left field to chase a fly ball when Lee came forward and slid into him, crashing into his right leg.
