SEATTLE (AP) -- The University of Oklahoma finished seventh in this weekend's annual concrete canoe races and competition in Seattle. Twenty-two teams of engineering students from colleges nationwide competed for the 'America's Cup of Civil Engineering.' The event is part of the American Society of Civil Engineers' 20th Annual National Concrete Canoe Competition.
The competition was won for the fifth straight year by the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
The competition includes a canoe race in addition to the students giving oral presentations about the technical design of their canoes and taking part in a question-and-answer session.
