Mattress In Road Causes Accident

A routine trip for a semi-truck driver turned into a mess overnight. Around 1:30 a.m. Thursday, the driver told Tulsa Police he ran over a mattress on U.S. Highway 75, just south of downtown.
Police say it appears the mattress got lodged on the axle or drive shaft and caught fire. The wheels were scorched and so was part of the tractor-trailer.
The driver was not hurt.
