Traffic accident on the Turner Turnpike causes quite a mess

An Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper wrote the driver of an 18-wheeler a ticket after he fell asleep at the wheel and plowed through two RV's on the Turner Turnpike early Wednesday morning.

The impact of the wreck destroyed all three vehicles and threw debris all over the shoulder of the road. As bad as it looked, no one was seriously hurt.

OHP trooper Todd Blaylock: "Fortunately, with the type of vehicles and the way they were configured, the trailers were able to sustain the brunt of the damage and most of the impact.â€

The wreck spilled hundreds of pounds of cement on the road. It took crews several hours to clean it all up.
