IDABEL, Okla. (AP) _ A 66-year-old Texas man is killed and his wife is injured after his car slammed into two horses standing in a McCurtain County road just west of Idabel early this morning.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Charles Ray Nevill of Clarksville, Texas, was driving westbound on State Highway 37 when his car struck the horses and then crashed through a steel fence.
