Woman sought in Edmond robbery, carjacking

EDMOND, Okla. (AP) – Edmond Police are looking for a woman who robbed a store in Edmond, then forced a man to drive her to Oklahoma City.

Police say the woman ran from a Walgreens after employees called police to report a suspect shoplifting. Officers say she ran to a nearby Sonic Drive-In and got into the car of an employee who was taking a break from work.

Edmond police spokeswoman Glynda Chu says the man told officers the woman said she'd kill him if he didn't drive her to Oklahoma City. Though he saw no gun, the man drove the woman to Oklahoma City.

The man called police after the suspect got out of his car.
