At least five hurt in Pittsburg County jail disturbance

A Pittsburg County jail inmate is in isolation after attacking five other inmates. It happened at the Pittsburg County jail in McAlester early Monday morning.

Authorities say 28 year old Michael Fry allegedly hit a number of inmates in the cell with him with his fists and also used a pencil as a weapon. Two inmates had to be taken to the emergency room, they were treated and released. Injuries include a sprained wrist, black eyes and a possible broken nose.

Fry was initially arrested on a complaint of assault and battery.
