Wildlife expert, naturalist Bob Jenni dies

EDMOND, Okla. (AP) -- Nationally known naturalist and animal expert Bob Jenni of Edmond has died at age 76.

Jenni operated Bob Jenni's Nature Center in Edmond since the early 1990s. He also has worked at the Oklahoma City Zoo, Tulsa's Mohawk Park Zoo and the state Wildlife Conservation Department.

At his nature center in Edmond Jenni took in rescued animals, but was best known for the large variety of snakes and reptiles he kept.

He's survived by his wife, Natalie, who he met during safaris in Kenya. Other survivors are two sons, a daughter and two grandsons.

Funeral services will be Saturday afternoon at 2 at Henderson Hills Baptist Church in Edmond.
