OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Oklahoma will receive $64-million under the current version of a massive federal highway bill heading to the US House for a vote this week.

The bill includes $14-million for the Crosstown Expressway project in Oklahoma City and 11 million dollars for the widening of Interstate 44 in Tulsa.

Lawmakers expect additional money for specific projects to be added once the $284- billion, five-year bill hits the House floor.

US Senator Jim Inhofe told The Oklahoman's Washington bureau he hopes to get more money in the Senate version of the bill for the Crosstown project. But Inhofe says the state may have to pay part of the cost of the project from its annual allocation of federal funding.

That's something state Transportation Department officials have resisted.
