Professional storm chasers getting ready for a busy spring

Members of the News on 6 Warn Team are getting an early start to the storm-chasing season.

Professional spotter Von Castor geared up Monday morning and hit the road. With nearly 20 years experience, Castor has seen it all.

Still, he says every season is a thrill. "As storm chasers I guess we're just a bit of a different breed. There's an adrenaline rush that goes along with it and satisfaction that we're helping the public."

This year Castor and the other chasers have live radar in their trucks, a new tool that will help them pinpoint trouble spots even faster. One of the biggest worries in the field isn't the storm. Castor says amateur chasers can be a real danger to themselves and others in an emergency situation.
