Porterville, California police know a family of five died in last week's house fire and explosion, but don't know why.

The police chief says Arnold Gonzalez stabbed his wife and two of his daughters to death -- and then spread a flammable liquid
around their bedroom.

The just-released autopsy report says the liquid ignited and blew up the house, which killed Gonzalez and their baby daughter.

Smoke from the fire killed both Gonzalez and the baby.

The part-time pizza delivery man and his family were all found in the bedroom, burned beyond recognition.

Police say the motive remains a mystery.
