(Stillwater-AP) -- If Tulsa quarterback Michael Wall had a
chance to see anything on Saturday, he saw orange.
Big and fast, Oklahoma State's defense came at him with a
vengeance, looking to retaliate for last season's 35-20 loss to
Tulsa at Skelly Stadium. A wall of Cowboy orange met Tulsa's
quarterbacks at every turn.
Tulsa managed to net only 123 offensive yards and tallied
negative 20 yards rushing against Oklahoma State. The Cowboys had
five sacks, costing Tulsa 41 yards.
Tulsa coach Dave Rader blames miscommunication when it came to
protection. Oklahoma State coach Bob Simmons credits a defense
recruited for speed.
Cowboy linebacker Tarrell Knauls points to a desire to settle
the score after last year's loss
