(Tulsa-AP) -- The mystery woman doesn't know why she has a
wedding ring on her finger. She has the scars of a Cesarean section
birth, but can't remember any children.
She has been nicknamed "Angel" by workers at the women's
shelter where she has been staying and waiting.
It's been nearly a month since a truck driver dropped her off at
a convenience store at Springer about 80 miles south of Oklahoma
City on Interstate 35. The driver asked the store clerk to call for
help before getting back on the road.
The woman only had the clothes on her back, a 20-dollar bill in
her pocket and a wound on her head. Authorities say the wound is
consistent with an air-bag injury.
Since it appears she may be Indian, the Ada office of the Bureau
of Indian Affairs has been coordinated a search for her identity.
