(Emmitsburg, Maryland-AP) -- Three Oklahoma firefighters killed
in the line of duty in 1997 and 1998 will be honored Sunday at the
National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service.

The three are among 95 firefighters from 33 states and Puerto
Rico who will be honored at the National Emergency Training Center
in Emmitsburg, Maryland.

Twenty-five-year-old volunteer firefighter Timothy Allen from
the Central High Fire Department died June 29th, 1998, in a traffic
accident on the way to a fire.

Forty-eight-year-old Warren Dee Myers Junior died of a heart
attack while returning from a call for the Tulsa Fire Department on
February eleventh, 1998. He was a 20-year veteran.

Twenty-nine-year-old Thomas Reynolds of the Terlton Community
Fire Department died of thermal burns January 20th, 1997, while
rescuing two children from an overturned dune buggy. He had served
as a volunteer firefighter for more than 16 years.

The Tulsa Fire Department honor guard will participate in the
ceremonies.

The names of 31 firefighters from Oklahoma who have died in the
line of duty since 1981 are on plaques around the monument at the
site.
