Job growth in Oklahoma's two largest cities
will continue to be above average next year.

A report released today from Oklahoma State says that Oklahoma City should finish 1999 with two-point-six percent employment
growth. The city should experience two-point-five percent employment growth next year.

Tulsa is expected to have three-point-eight percent job growth this year followed by three percent next year.

A healthier energy industry and growth in federal government is expected to fuel job growth statewide. The study says Oklahoma
should gain 33-thousand new jobs next year.

Growth is forecast for personal income, too. But the state's per capita income is expected to remain below 80 percent of U-S per
capita income.
