Tractor-Trailer Driver Arrested After Chase

The driver of a tractor-trailer rig was arrested by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol after leading the patrol on a multi-county, high-speed chase.

Twenty-two-year-old James Henry Paris of Roans Prairie, Texas is being held at the Oklahoma County jail in lieu of 17-thousand dollars bond.

Kym Koch is a spokeswoman for the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.

Koch says the chase through Logan and Oklahoma counties began when several drivers called about the truck going south in the northbound lanes on Interstate 35 on Saturday morning.

When the OHP caught up with the truck, it was in the southbound lanes of I-35. Koch says he evaded "stop sticks" put in the road and several shots were fired at the truck.

The driver was treated at Edmond Regional Memorial Hospital for glass cuts.
