(Dallas-AP) -- Baseball players at Oklahoma and Oklahoma State are making big points in the classroom.
Six players from Oklahoma schools were named to the Academic All-Big Twelve team today. Oklahoma State's Carlos Gautreaux and Lance Smith and Oklahoma's Rocky Cherry are all on the first team.
First team members have to have maintained a 3.2 or better grade-point average.
To qualify, the players have to maintain a 3.0 grade-point average or higher cumulative or over the previous two semesters. They also have to have participated in 60 percent of scheduled games.
