Residents Still Cleaning Up After Last Weeks Flood

Red Cross volunteers are helping Oklahoma flood victims and are using a new tool to do it.

The EmTrac is a specially equipped vehicle that travels all over the country to help assist victims of natural disasters. Even though it's stationed in Tulsa this is the first time it's been needed in Green Country.

Volunteers gave out several vouchers for groceries, new beds, appliances and kitchen tables and housing to the Sapulpa flood victims.

"The kids would have been split in several different places. It would have been very hard, financially, emotionally especially,” says Flooding Victim JoDean Beasley.

Red cross volunteers have helped more than 100 flooding victims in Sapulpa and will continue their work on Monday.

Last weekend's high water damaged 250 homes in that area.

EmTrac's latest assignments included helping tornado victims in Oklahoma City, Texas and Georgia.
