Keating names couple to serve as marriage ambassadors

(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Governor Keating says two nationally recognized marriage experts will participate in his campaign to lower the state's divorce rate.

Keating says Les and Leslie Parrott will serve as scholars-in-residence and as adjunct professors at Oklahoma State University as part of his Marriage Initiative.

The Parrotts will serve from June first of this year through May 31st of next year.

They're co-directors of the Center for Relationship Development at Seattle Pacific University.

The couple have written more than 15 books on relationship issues and are regular columnists for a marriage magazine.

Les Parrott is a professor of clinical psychology and Leslie Parrott is a marriage and family therapist.
