Audit of Drumright books released to commission

(Drumright-AP) -- A report from the state auditors office indicates that a former Drumright city employee admits he cashed checks from funeral homes so he could avoid paying tax on the income.

Thirteen-year Drumright employee Harvey Robertson told auditors he then gave money to a private grave digger.

Robertson was the street superintendent. Robertson also was in charge of collecting and recording burial fees for the city-owned cemetery.

The city commission requested the report from the state auditors.
