Stroud Residents Participate In Hospital Service Survey

After a year of planning and rebuilding, last spring’s deadly tornadoes are still wreaking havoc on some Green Country towns.

Folks in Stroud have a chance to turn tragedy into an opportunity.

When much of Stroud was leveled by a tornado, the hospital had some of the worst damage.

The hospital board is asking the community for help.

In a survey being conducted this week, residents of Stroud and surrounding areas are being asked about their medical needs so the new hospital's services can be tailor-made to fit the community.

"A lot of times, as we say, a lot of good comes out of bad. And, we're probably going to be offering better medical care for the area than was offered in the last 20 years,” says Hospital Board Chairman Bill Sasser.

Oklahoma State University is conducting the telephone survey this week.

The hospital is scheduled to re-open in September
