(Tulsa-AP) -- The University of Tulsa football team may not have much of a tradition, so new football coach Keith Burns is working to build one.
The Golden Hurricane has had eight straight losing seasons, but university officials and even reluctant fans feel this year could be different.
A lot of it has to do with Burns, who came to the school from Arkansas just six months ago. Already he can be seen selling the program everywhere from T-V commercials to posters to face-to-face meetings with administrators.
Burns has been made the centerpiece of the team and officials hope his infectious attitude will results in wins.
Tulsa was just 2-and-9 last season.
