(Norman-AP) -- Oklahoma Sooner pitcher Austin Mix has been named to the Louisville Slugger Freshman All-America first-team.
The honor was announced Thursday by Collegiate Baseball.
Mix was one of 12 first-year pitchers in the country selected for recognition by the national publication.
He was a second team All-Big 12 selection.
Mix is a Coppell, Texas, native who posted a ten-and-two record and four-point-92 E-R-A, including 95 strikeouts in 106 innings pitched.
He led the 41-and-23 Sooners in wins, innings pitched, starts(15) and strikeouts.
