Riders crossing state in annual biking event

(Pauls Valley-AP) -- Between 1,300 and 1,400 bicyclists are riding in the 22nd Annual FreeWheel bike tour this week.

The week-long tour began Sunday in Comanche with bicyclists making a soggy 67-mile ride to Pauls Valley. The next destination is Maud, then Harrah, Cushing, Perry, Blackwell and finishing up at Caldwell, Kansas.

The bicyclists will travel almost 400 miles during the ride.
