SUMMIT, Okla. (AP) -- Murder complaints have been filed against a 21-year-old man accused of shooting his wife and her sister to death.

Steven Jermaine Harris, 21, was arrested and booked into the Muskogee County/City Detention Facility on two complaints of murder, said Sheriff Cliff Sinyard.

Harris is accused of shooting his wife, Lillian Denise Harris, 23, and her sister, Sonya Washington, 18, about 3 p.m. Thursday at Harris' residence in Summit, authorities said.

Dick Huitt, an investigator with the District Attorney's Office, said the shooting began as a domestic quarrel earlier in the day.

"Finally, he decided to shoot her and end the fighting. He said he had all he could take," Huitt said.

After the shooting, a crowd of people gathered across the street from the scene of the shooting, a blue house and a mobile home.

Officers weren't sure at first whether the shootings occurred in both residences or one.

The two residences are about 26 feet apart and connected by a sidewalk. The shooting took place in the Harris residence, the mobile home, officials said.

Authorities said Mrs. Harris was shot approximately five times in the chest area, and the sister was shot once in the back.

Washington was shot as she was leaving Harris' house, Huitt said.

Investigators recovered a .380-caliber semi-automatic pistol at the scene.
