Tulsa starters set for exhibition game

(Tulsa-AP) -- Tulsa basketball coach Buzz Peterson has his starting five set for tonight's exhibition game against Athletes First.

The lineup includes six-foot-seven sophomore forward Kevin Johnson, who has spent the past two seasons slowed by a stress fracture in his foot.

Johnson says the foot is fine, he doesn't even think about it anymore. Peterson adds that he believes Johnson is on the edge of busting out as a full-time player.

Also starting tonight are seniors Marcus Hill and David Shelton, junior Greg Harrington and sophomore Dante Swanson.

Athletes First is an all-star team of former area collegians, including Oral Roberts' Tim Hill, former Tulsa center Ray Poindexter and Oklahoma State point guard Doug Gottlieb.

The game starts at 7:05 tonight at the Reynolds Center.
