Park Board supports plan for Tulsa Zoo

(Tulsa-AP) -- The Tulsa Park Board is endorsing a ten-year, $32 million, master plan for the Tulsa Zoo and Living Museum.

Mayor Susan Savage says proposed theme areas inside the zoo will be like a mini map of the world.

The plan calls for the zoo to be reconfigured into larger, geographically themed areas that include North America, South and Central America, Asia, Africa and Australia.

The plans also call for enhancing the entertainment plaza, conservation center, group event area and updating of the Animal Health Center.
