(Lincoln-AP) -- A few Nebraska football fans already have unloaded their Big 12 football championship game tickets since the Cornhuskers lost their likely spot in the game with Saturday's 29-to-28 loss at Kansas State.

One Husker follower said he sold his two tickets to a K-State fan within hours of Saturday's outcome. With an expected win this week against Missouri, Kansas State will win the Big 12 North Division title. That will set up a meeting with top-ranked Oklahoma in Kansas City in early December.

Brian Bates was one of thousands of other Husker fans who had helped gobble up the Big 12 title game tickets within hours of when they went on sale. Bates says it did NOT hit him until after the Nebraska loss Saturday that he had tickets he NO longer wanted to use.

Bates says he hopes he can get his money out of his investment. He and many others are advertising in Manhattan, Kansas, newspapers in hopes of finding a taker.

Travel agents in Nebraska are looking to get their money back, too. Some have contacted agents in Manhattan.

Bill Bennett of Adventure Travel says he has 200 Big 12 packages to get rid of. He recalled when K-State did the same thing to Nebraska two years ago that those tickets were hard to get rid of.
